I went Squirrel Hunting this morning about three hours. Got one with my .22 LR & saw five. Not really a great Squirrel Hunting morning as it was too breezy.

They started shooting about 5-600 yards from me at 6:00 AM. The mother of all dove hunts. Saw a doe with 2 yearlings.

Second buck that passed by this morning, unfortunately this was the biggest one.
Shooting hours for doves doesn't start until 11am.

Agree. Saw 4 guys at the store all with shotguns. Said it was a great morning out hunting tree rats. Said they all got their limit.
My bad. I hunt public land which has an 11 shooting start.

Relocated to hartford farm for better wind,spent last 3 years transforming this field of johnson grass into a beautiful 3 acre food plot. Sitting high over 2 acres of forage beans and 1 of clover. Sun dancing off the river behind me. Now if i can just get a deer to cooperate.

I haven't dove hunted in years... Was wondering when it got changed. They started shooting at 6:00 AM CST. 25-30 people in the field.
