This isn't a quality pic but you can make it out. About 3 days ago the wife seen it land on our deck rail as it missed a squirrel. She was telling me about it color/size etc and I was like WTH? Then the next day she seen it perched on a limb in the front yard, as she was snapping the pic it flew and this is what she got through the glass of the storm door. I wasn't sure at first and considered it to be a red shouldered but posted it on a bird forum to get opinions. There was enough wing detail and brown markings for patterns to give a positive ID.
