Is money an issue? Also, she’ll probably have to sign for a year. Where’s the massage school? Shilito Park Apartments are nice. I’m just gonna be honest, my home payment is less, actually a lot less, than some apartment payments, but there are some nice ones. Hamburg, Fritz Farm, Shilito, Palomar and all nice areas but costly.

figure it’s gonna cost a grand a month but if there’s a cheaper way I’ve not found it yet short of a 2 hour commute one way. I wanted to buy her a nice ass camper but a site gonna cost just as much . She’s saved about 12 grand . I told her to keep it I’d handle it so here we go . Damn boys are a lot cheaper than girls. She just graduated high school and has had a job since she was 15 so I’m gonna get her off to a head start or go broke trying lol. I’m not sure where the school is at. I’ve been there but I’m not familiar with Lexington. My dad lives in nicholasville but he doesn’t have a basement and shed have to sleep on the couch so she said that was weird she’s independent as hell. I told her we could live with a lot of weirdness for 12 k lol. She didn’t agree. I’ll check on some of those you listed. Thanks

South side of town is better than the north side. You don’t want her staying anywhere near Versailles rd., N Broadway or Loundon. I would stay away from downtown as well.

The Studios at Patchen might be worth a look for that amount of time. I was just doing a little internet search. They are open space studio apartments but utilities, WiFi, and cable are included. Patchen is right off Richmond Rd. Not a bad area, busy at times, but a straight shot downtown, close to New Circle. If she’s a loaner it may not be for her because the firepit, grills, etc…are kind of a community thing.

I see you’re from Woodford. I always liked that west side. Dunbar, Palomar, Beaumont it’s just costly. Harrodsburg Rd isn’t bad but turns into Broadway toward downtown as mentioned.

Have you thought about looking at apartments in Nicholasville? Heck, you’re basically the outskirts of Lexington. I’m in Masterson and can go to places in Georgetown easier that going to the other side of Lex.

Would Georgetown be an option? I would think slightly cheaper and would be nice…if she can commute from there.

Tons of apartments in Georgetown and they tend to be a little cheaper than lex. In Lexington I’d stay away from the north/north east side of town. I’d also stay away from the area immediately around UK. Lots of trouble to get into around there. Wherever you rent I’d just spend the day scoping out the area. It won’t be hard to determine if it’s a place you’d want her living.
