Grouseguy,
I sure like the looks of Penny. I would pick her in a heartbeat over Zeke, if just picking on looks.

Thanks for sharing the photos guys.

Everyone--here is the newest member of the grouseguy / grousegal household. We're still debating on names!! We got her yesterday, and tomorrow she will be 7 weeks old.

Nothing cuter than a setter pup that's for sure! What's the breeding?

Thanks, Jon.

She is Hamilton's Blue Diamond bred top and bottom, which matches her up genetically from the same line as my Tekoa Mountain Sunrise bred males.

Anyway, this was kind of out of character for us ... on Saturday grousegal and I went up to Buckeye Kennels ( http://bdarn.com/buckeye/ ) to meet with Dick Geswein, who we've known and done business with for years, on other dog business. While there, I was looking over his kennels and focused in on what I thought was an exceptional 16 month old setter female. Dick was very high on her and showed me some other pics of her working birds. As we talked more, Dick said he had a litter of 6 week old pups that were a repeat breeding of this 16 month old dog. Once we saw the litter, you can guess the rest ... Grouse Busters Jazz now lives in Grayson and is 7 weeks old today. It was a great looking litter of 2 males and 5 females, with 1 male and 3 females still available if any of you guys are interested.

I've known Ronnie for 10 or 15 years, and he's nothing but a dirty old man!!! Rick Allen, on the other hand, is a fine Southern gentleman who would NEVER EVER make an off-color comment!!! ;) Both guys are good friends of ours and are welcome to share an adult beverage with grouseguy and me any time, as long as they are paying!!

Ronnie-I hope you are referring to me and not Mark in your post!!

Jon, I checked the rules on this site, in sub-section c under old farts, you can plainly see. "Anyone that's a card carrying old fart can pretty much say what he or she wants" and I have my card.

Grousegal, you know I was referring to you.
