Just got to stay after it. Hunt mid day and afternoons if you can
My daughter killed so i had a great season regardless. Plan to hunt a few more times as work allows before the end. I have killed birds late season. Called in birds on the last day many times. One thing is certain its harder to hear them late season and they cant hear you as well either. Lots of birds have been killed and some are about done coming to calls but it never stops me from going even if im not behind the gun. I have hunted and fished for all kinda critters in my life and the turkey woods is an always will be my favorite.

I’ve got one tag left. I’m thinking with as many leaves as we have on field edges and more open areas might be productive. I’ll run and gun midday and afternoon

Has definitely gotten tougher, lot of the dumb birds are already dead and ones still alive have been pressured. Not hearing much gobbling on roost if any on most mornings, and just less gobbling in general. Just got to stick with it, less hens are gonna be hanging around the gobblers making them more vulnerable. Late season has done me better than early season some years, when you’re not competing with hens. Just lonely gobblers and your the only “hen” in the woods acting interested haha

My wife and I both worked different bird’s yesterday at the same time on our farm. We had a blast! Dead quiet off the roost but both birds were going crazy about 9 am. We have been over run with hens and the gobblers haven’t shown much interest in our calls. The last couple years we have done better the last week once the hens start nesting
