Too dang windy for me. Be dodging tree limbs/trees.
Be careful, bad weather coming. Heading SE. I'm no Shaman, but it's the best i got.

This morning has already been great. Had a hen come right up to the blind this morning. Next we heard a Boss up on the hill close to the spot we hunted yesterday and saw him 6 times but Connor was never comfortable with the shot. Connor once again was stoked and on the gun. After about 10 minutes we could tell he was a bit further away instead of closer and Connor took his chair again. Less than 5 minutes later I saw more heads working towards us coming up the creek. It was the 3 jakes we had been seeing at a distance for the last 3 days. This time they were close and on flat ground and heading to us. I then explained that he was more than welcome to take any of them if he wanted. I took the safety off and he said I want the biggest one. I told him he could shoot when he was ready and he whispered he wont stop so I let out a short yelp, all three heads went straight up. Connor let his youth Mossberg 410 go and the lead bird with the largest beard dropped like a sack of potatoes.

This should of been his second bird for this season but the first one back on the second weekend of season bolted when he had to swing the gun a few inches to get on him and Dad had to stop him from leaving the field. He was just as excited about that one as he is about this one.

This is the bird that should of been his first of the season.
