Caldwell/Lyon County where I work/live right now is HORRIBLE. Pulling ticks off my pooch and I left and right. Thankfully most are still crawling rather than bit in. Lots of little larva but been seeing more full size Lone Stars. Bastards.

Found 16 on me in the past 2 days. One greeted me on my car window this morning.

Need to start eating more garlic like it's going out of style again. I used to never get ticks

There’s no shortage of ticks in McCracken County. Just wear some short pants and I’ll point you in the right direction to get covered up.

I'd a pulled the socks off, doused them real good with kerosine, set them on fire and enjoyed watching those little bas----s burn.

I've been getting chewed on pretty good lately despite being drenched with permithrin. I tried the garlic thing, used to eat cloves raw but it didn't work where ever I've been the ticks just seemed to enjoy Italian cuisine.

Frontline Gold topical for fleas and ticks on dogs. I get it free from my Loved One but I would buy it if I had to.

I cut grass for people 3-4 days a week. If I’m not mowing, I’m in my garden or on the farm. Last year was the worst year of ticks I’ve ever known in my life. I had multiple days last year that I pulled 20+ off me. I also had hopes of the late snow killing both ticks and snakes but I can’t say it did. I have seen probably 10-12 snakes so far this year and I’ve had nights of pulling off 5+ ticks. I guess I would say that for ticks it is lightly better this year but only slightly. Can’t say the same for snakes- it’s right there with last year.

Spent most of the day in the woods yesterday in some very thick stuff and not a single tick on me. Several other bug bites and about a million little green burs but no ticks. This won't last long though I'm sure.

I'm doing better with the ticks the past few days I think that I just needed to shake up my jug of permethrin before spraying it out.

Pulled 19 of the bigger ones off me so far after various outings. Got my biggest haul after walking across 20 ft of mowed right of way close to Laurel River Dam. Weird.
