Had big fun with the guys today, shot 2 rounds with my grandson Mason, and he dusted me pretty bad. He is a natural. First group myself, Mason, Dale, and Ron, Shane.Second group we added several more knuckleheads, and the fun continued. Cant wait to next shoot. Thanks to all that participated !
Looks like a fun time as usual. I bet at this time of year, with all the leaves off, you can find an abundance of "misplaced" arrows in the woods!
And I missed it! I haven’t shot an Arrow in so long that I can’t remember whether to pull or push the bow string!
It was great ! It was cold, but a few minutes in the woods warmed ya up. Didnt shoot too bad lousy, and the grandson shot great (220 out of a possible 300) i think high score was around 240. Shooting from the same stake as the big guys at 13. Come to think of it...., he is a big guy ..... what happened to that little boy that rode on my shoulders ?
Next time I'm there, point him out to me. I want to make sure he's not in my group of shooters!! 220?.......that's all I need shooting with me and my sweet traditional bow skills!! Eh gosh!!
Don’t worry Jman; if you, me, Mark, and Steve, add our scores together, we could get near halfway! The real question to Randy is... How good is he at finding arrars?
He makes me sick ! He started shooting a longbow when he was 2. I taught him, and at 13 he spanks my ass bad. Shooting more weight than me too. He is a natural at everything. Spinning reel at 6, baitcaster at 7, excels at any sport, handsome, string, athletic, good natured, funny. He is my step grandson, that explains it, we dont swim in the same gene pool.
To be good at so Carp, to be good at something takes lots of practice, he doesn’t miss much, and NEVER buys arrows, so he pretty much sucks at finding lost arrows, barely even tries. I however, am your arrow recovery man, which should tell you something..... hmmmm.....
