    The Kroger stores meat dont have much fresh meat of any kind in them, and it is being allocated to one or two packages fwiw.

    Just got my 16 pound brisket. That's alot of meat.

    I suggest cutting in half and cooking the flat and the Point on different occasions. Are you smoking or roasting?

  9. Jealous our Kroger sale this week is different. Sirloins and ground chuck here I believe.

    It has a thick end and and thin end. Is one the point and other end is flat. I actually was gonna cut it in 3

    I’ll trim the flat and smoke in two pieces with separate probes.

    I agree. I smoked on last night. The next one I do, will be split, to much of a difference in the meat thickness. The point is fine. The flat is thinner and is somewhat dry on the end. It is harder to cook the whole thing just perfect. Although, I will enjoy eating this whole thing. Brisket is one of my favorites. Beefy flavor, outstanding!
