I dont even, need or use a knife anymore, used the bucks, for a lot of years, then the outdoor edges, them things were super sharp, just wondered, what everybody was using these days.

I've got a few of the old USA Gerbers that I use mostly. The one I use the most is a Bolt Action Exchange Blade. My daily carry is an old USA Clip Lok. These aren't the cheap Chicom steel.

I love knives for tools...not just to collect. I use a Victorinox boning knife for for deer along with a Buck 110 and Rapala filet knife. I just bought a 10" Victorinox breaking knife that I plan to use on hogs.

For rabbits and squirrel i just use my 110.

Gonna buy another boning knife...maybe 2....a small skinning knife hopefully Victorinox...a Bobbett sharpener and finally a waxed leather roll up to keep everything together.

As much as I love knives you would think I am skilled in sharpening them lol but that is sadly not the case. Free hand? No way in hell. I depend on little gadgets to get them pretty sharp...enough to shave ya if you wet the hair....but not scalpel sharp. I may invest in a strop

My aunt bought me a mossy oak skinning knife when I started deer hunting at 9 years old. That knife has cleaned everything everything I’ve killed ever since. Is there better knifes out there? Oh yeah. But it’s pretty much just tradition now to carry that knife and keep cleaning and skinning with it.
My wife bought me a knife kit a few years ago that has an assortment of great sharp knives in it. Maybe outdoor edge, I can’t remember. I use them time to time once the meat hits the kitchen. But that old mossy oak with the chrome blade that was probably intended just to be looked at will keep cleaning my kills

Yes they are. The Outdoor Edge is easier changing blades than the Havalon but Havalon blades are very sharp as well.

Carry a old German eye in my pocket daily, use a old Boker boning knife,and Rapala fillet knife in kitchen. Use a big Bear folding knife to field dress. Old school I guess. Except for filleting crappies then I whoop out the that wonderful invention the electric knife lol!
