I just called him to verify, he killed it 2019 and swears it was the #1 typical for that year. He said gross was 187 3/8 net was 194 something.
Maybe he didn't submit the score sheet early enough for the F&W deadline to pull info for the hunting guide. That's a heck of a deer.
Pics of this buck was all over the place in 2019.stud!killed right down the road from our lease.i still got pics saved on my phone.
This is the official score sheet for my buck , buckmaster score sheet. Its 191 with spread, 169 just bone. B&C scored him 185 and a few 1/8 ths, Is officially in the buck after deductions , at 175 3/8 . Pretty big diffence in gross scores, so I dont know who was right or who was wrong, but that is the official scores for both. So if buckmaster was right and [email protected] wrong, that would put him a little over 180 [email protected] , so some of the scores depends on who is scoring, I guess, thats why they have a official panel, with different scorers for potential world records. Now let me say, I will be the first to congratulate , anyone with any buck especially a 160, but what a lot of people dont understand, is why [email protected] came up with this honorary 160 minimum , it has caused a lot of confusion and arguments, im not exactly sure how it works, to be honest, I think its recognized for 3 years or something, but dosent go in the all time record book. What it has done is letting a lot of folks, take a 150 something net buck, score it and it gross 160 and he says he has a [email protected] buck. I know a guy claims he has 4, and really dont have any. When you ask them what edition [email protected] book are they in, they say oh there not in the book, but they score over 160. So the arguments begin, a 160 is just as much of a [email protected] buck as a 180, There are a lot of bucks, that score over 160, that guys dont even mess with getting them scored because they say they arent a true [email protected] , but as others have mentioned there are some monsters that are never scored. I have seen more bucks in the last few years, that will truly score in the upper 140 s and low 150 s, that they say are [email protected] than you could believe. I could post some pics on here of some bucks and what people said they scored, and anyone that knew anything about a buck, could look at it and know that it wouldnt score within 30 inches of what they say. At 1 point in my life if someone said they killed a 170 inch buck, I had an idea of what they were talking about, I dont anymore for the most part, So the way I see it, anybody could have killed the bucks I have killed if they had been sitting there and could shoot, same goes for any buck anyone shoots, There has been some absolute giants killed and I congratulate the guys who got them, I also congratulate anyone that gets something that makes them happy whatever it is...
