Kentucky derby

Guess a group of horses ran somewhere in Kentucky fairly recently. I'd rather watch my dog chase a rabbit or the mail carrier, than attend a horse show of any kind. Maybe if they held that derby every five years, more people would develop an interest.

I once took a date to our farm back in E TN. It was midnight, and I had packed a full picnic, so that we could both enjoy the meteor shower, but five big show horses absolutely refused to leave us alone within the field. They smelled the treats that I had packed and became eagerly persistent, then downright aggressive forcing our departure, because we feared that we would end up trampled to death. Didn't pay a dime to see that.

I thought the Oaks race was an impressive ride, but it was far surpassed by the derby run. Incredible confidence in both horses, but the derby trip was just silly.

It looked as though the jockey was using both hands on that right lead. Never have seen a horses head pulled that hard in a race.

I thought he was too boxed in to be able to make it to the front and no fouls called.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't bet the race but,,,, I had a friend (who was at the Track with Eric on Saturday) bet $200 across the board!

Thats a great video! I tried picking that horse out in the other vids and he just popped up out of nowhere, that one shows his progress well !
