I fish Tville for them. Excellent lake for cats & can usually catch all you want. 99% of the time I catch & release. Great fun!!
I keep eaters up to about 10-15 pounds for channels and blues when Im fishing for food. I release almost all flatheads regardless of size. Just a personal choice but I release all fish over 15 pounds.. I catch all I need(and I eat a lot) under that size so releasing the big ones dosnt hurt me a bit

Wasn't on a jug but caught this little channel cat while killing time waiting for a Dr appointment. Using trout bait and ultralight tackle. Wasn't big but had a great time winding it in on 2lb test.

That's a size 13 shoe, I didn't have anything to measure with and this lake they gotta be 15 inches to keep I figured it was close but three it back anyway

Bet this would be a hella flathead bait.

I seen an article where a guy caught a 66lb flat on a 12" trout in PA, new state record. Idk if it was a lure or real trout. Id imagine it b hard to keep a live trout alive??

most folks would be amazed at how big of a bait a flathead can swallow,easily...A 20 pound flathead will slurp down a 12" sucker no problem. A 7" bluegill is just a snack to a decent flathead. My personal favorite is a big redhorse sucker, but bullheads and big green sunfish are great too. I also love big creek chubs but they are a little on the delicate side compared to other baits..Not as tough

Yessir. I have a hard time convincing my limb lining buddies. I've had a 4 pound drum eat by a 12 pounder.
My favorite bait is a big yella belly (bullhead.) About 14" if I have my choice.
Clip the horns off the side, trim the tail, and little dude will stay pissed off and squirmin until he gets eaten.
I generally use hand sized bluegill because they're easy to get, but always wish I had some bigger bait. I love them flatheads

Same here. I use a lot of gills and sundad's because they are easy to get. Since a few of the local creeks were rerouted due to construction suckers and bullheads are harder for me to get. I use to get a lot seining, but last few years they have been harder to get. I need to cast net more I guess
