John Kerry`s two-decade long U.S. Senate record of opposing Second Amendment rights makes him the most anti-gun presidential nominee in history! Here’s the proof.

FACT: Kerry co-sponsors a bill that would ban all semi-automatic shotguns and detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifles, a gigantic step toward bringing Australian-style gun control to the U.S.1

FACT: Kerry says, "I think you ought to tax all ammunition, personally, I think you ought to tax guns."2

FACT: Kerry has voted nine times in favor of banning semi-auto firearms.3

FACT: Kerry has voted for a Ted Kennedy amendment to ban most center-fire rifle ammunition, including the most common rounds used by hunters and target shooters.4

FACT: Kerry has voted to close off hundreds of thousands of acres of the California Mojave Desert to hunting.5

FACT:Kerry has voted to hold the highly regulated American firearms industry legally responsible for the illegal acts of violent criminals.6
FACT: Kerry was one of only 18 Senators to oppose the Firearms Owners` Protection Act, which ended alarming abuses being committed under the 1968 Gun Control Act.7

FACT:Kerry was one of only 29 Senators to vote to prohibit gun manufacturers from discharging debts created by the reckless lawsuits filed by municipalities.8

FACT:Kerry has voted to allow BATF to conduct unlimited warrantless inspections of FFL holders.9

FACT: Kerry has voted to criminalize legal sales between private individuals at gun shows.10

FACT: Kerry has voted to impose penalties of a year in prison and a $10,000 fine on an adult if a juvenile steals a firearm from him, and then merely displays it in a public place.11

FACT: Kerry has voted to force many small firearms dealers out of business, which would have impacted both the availability and price of guns, particularly in rural areas.12

FACT: Kerry has voted 11 times to force law-abiding citizens to wait to exercise their Second Amendment rights. He voted to keep the federal waiting period after the National Instant Check System was in place.13

FACT: Kerry voted twice to eliminate the Civilian Marksmanship Program.14

FACT: Kerry wants to silence gun owners` voices. When NRA sought the same exemption from campaign finance rules that news organizations have, Kerry called that effort "hijacking America`s airwaves."15

FACT: Kerry commended the Million Mom March for their march on Washington that included calls for gun owner licensing, gun registration and other restrictions on law-abiding gun owners.16

If elected president, Kerry will pack the U.S. Supreme Court with Dianne Feinstein/Chuck Schumer/Ted Kennedy-selected anti-gun activists who believe you have no right to own any firearm.

He was for it before he was against it. He loves the m16 but owns a communist assault rifle until he finds out he shoudn't then he doesn't. See it's clear he has both sides covered.

Why wouldn't you vote for him.

He doesn't need a semi auto rifle just his trusty double barrell and that is all you need.

NOT TO MENTION HE WAS AGAINST AMERICA BEFORE HE WAS FOR IT. I BET THAT HE AND JANE FONDA HAD A PLOT FOR HIM TO GET ELECTED TO OFFICE TO BRING DOWN THE FACIST COUNTRY. WHAT AMAZES ME IS THAT HE IS GETTING SO FAR WITH HIS EVIL PLAN. OHWHOWHWOHWOWHWOH

Kerry shot a goose yesterday!!! Probably just a TV thing!! LOL I'm for the NRA and I'm a hunter, big time!!! But don't get too excited, because neither Bush or Kerry can take away the hunters guns. I will always pack a heater for self protection. That's just the way I am. I saw the NRA film on the government taking away our firearms. Just not true!! Me and all my hunting friends would never let that happen. Before any guns were taken, there might be a few dead agents. Or a lot of excuses of where the guns went.

Kerry is only talking about illegal guns for terrorists and criminals in this country. Or waiting a little longer before buying a gun. I'm all for that!!! I don't want the crooks to have easy access to guns. Two weeks ago, I bought another shotgun from WalMart. They had to check my ID, call to see if I was a felon, and 2 store managers walked me and my new shotgun outside the store. Not a big deal. Let's be real about this, nobody could ever take our guns away. I personally don't like semi-automatic rifles for hunting. All this MM crap!! My pump and over/under are so much better. I don't like the "military" automatic weapons for hunting deer or anything else. But that's just me, I also don't like the fish poachers and snaggers. I'm also a serious fisherman. I love the outdoors.

But the environment for us hunters is a big deal. Kerry is so much better on the environment. I don't care if the big companies have to pay more to produce a non-polluting product. I want the woods and streams clean. That's my thing, and I want them cleaned up. And if the criminals can't go hunting with automatic 9mm's, I really don't care. The economy stinks, and I want the middle class working people back. I also don't care if the millionaires loose their tax break. I want a piece of the American Pie.

Even though I'm a Republican, I have to vote for Kerry this time.

Think it over, you just might do the same thing,

Quote(Not a big deal. Let's be real about this, nobody could ever take our guns away. ) Isnt that what they said in England? And lets do be real no gun law is going to limit criminals having guns, they're criminals they break laws. All gun laws will do is take guns from law abiding citizens,or make more criminals because they wont give up their guns. I agree about not using military style weapons for hunting, but any style semi-auto come on! I use a marlin 22 cal. semi-auto for squirrel hunting ,should that be banned?Just because you dont like something does that mean noone else should have it?If the records were checked I believe more than assault rifles would be banned if Kerry had his way.As for the enviroment Kerry's way to protect would be to keep hunters out of it,just check his voting record ,this post has them listed. And now the economy ,How much of the pie do you think Kerry and his sugar momma will give up?according to the tax exemptions they and Edwards got not much.Kerry dosen,t want to tax millionaires,(why would he is one)he wants to tax small business owners who make 200,000 or more.IMHO tax them and prices go up and everyones piece of the pie gets smaller.People need to check facts and records not just listen to CBS!

Hotshot, you are either misinformed or nieve. He voted as recent as March 2004 to ban semi-automatic shotguns. The same gun that he held up at his rally last week to show that he was gun owner friendly. That gun was a Remington 1187. I haven't seen many terrorists packing these around Bagdad lately. Also you talk of keeping your guns after a ban, that Sir would make you a criminal.

"Even though I'm a Republican, I have to vote for Kerry this time."

Congrats!!! Your the very first Republican I've ever heard that says that. I've met and talked to thousands of Republicans this year. I've been very active in the party, going to all the Western Ky party meetings, went to the Republican National Convention in New York and ever was at the White House in Washington D.C.

Here's why I think your really a Democrat trying to impersonate a Republican.

"But the environment for us hunters is a big deal. Kerry is so much better on the environment. I don't care if the big companies have to pay more to produce a non-polluting product. You don't care if the big compaines have to pay more and yet you want the middle class working people back???? Just tell me how are the big companies gointg to pay more to clean up and at the very same time pay more to the workers??? Where will the money come from? Who is going to pay? Companies are set up for profit any cost is passed on to the customer. Just where do you think the middle class get their pay????

You don't care if millionaires lose their tax breaks? Lets see. You get a tax break and spend it in China-Mart which in trun buys more from China. A millionaire gets a tax break and invests it in the stock market, he buys stock in those big compaines that the middle class works for. Those big companies have more capital to work with giving them more power to expan and add more workers.

If you were a Republican you would know all this.

You said something about "illegal" guns, right?

Answer me this, how did those guns become "illegal"???????

    Hotshot,

Welcome to KentuckyHunting.com. While the majority of the posters here fall more in line with those that have posted critically of your position, there are those of us who believe basically as you do. Don't let the majority "shout you down". You have a valid opinion based on your own experiences and beliefs, just as some of the opposition does.

Kudos to you for having the intellingence to form your own opinions and the "stones" to state your beliefs. Personally, I believe much as you do, with a few minor differences, which would likely be cleared up quickly in a face to face exchange.

There are valid arguments on both sides, but voting on any election based solely on a single issue is VERY dangerous to this country AND our sport. It just depends on which "other" issues concern you, that most likely will affect your ultimate decision, as to which man to vote for.

I am completely comfortable in my belief that W is simply the worst president of my lifetime, and while Kerry is not my idea of the perfect candidate, he easily outshines the opposition, although admittedly the bar has been set embarrasingly low.

No they shouldn't be banned. Up here in PA, we can't use semi-automatic 22's for squirrel hunting. I wish I could, and I would buy one!! I'm a hunter, just like you, and I only want what's best for us hunters. Keep our guns, more places to hunt, more game in cleaner outdoors. And more money for us hunters. Not just the super-rich.

he wants to tax small business owners who make 200,000 or more.IMHO tax them and prices go up and everyones piece of the pie gets smaller.People need to check facts and records not just listen to CBS!

I also listen to talk radio, (Hannady, Savage, and the fat drug-addict). On Michael Savage last week, he said how lousy the people in Europe had it. He said they all get 12 weeks vacation every year, free health care for all, and the average retirement age is 49 to 50!!! "With all this socialism, the people just aren't as happy as they are here in Americia." Michael Savage makes 3 million a year, so he wouldn't be happy with sosialism. He has to bash the Democrats all day just like the others do. "Bush good, Kerry bad, Clinton had a lot of girlfriends" that's all I hear on talk radio. Rush makes 30 million a year, and Hannady makes approx 25 million. If I made millions every year, I would also be for tax loop holes for the rich. I would be at all the Republican meetings. But I don't, so I want what's best for myself. I'm a average guy that likes to go hunting, and I've been "downsized" a couple times. Usually the president says "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?" Bush can't say this, so he keeps bashing Kerry. Because most of us would have to say NO!! You have to watch something other than Fox TV. LOL

Before you vote, watch Fahrenheit 9/11. It just might suprise you.

I really shouldn't get political, there is so much spin on everything, really, I don't care anyway. I think I'll get ready for pheasant hunting tomorrow. They just stocked the state game lands. Cock birds all over the place.

    Say What??

OK Hotshot; you've made your case(or have you?)

First of all; the second amendment to the constitution of the United States says NOTHING about "hunting weapons".....it says THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED UPON!)..The line right before that says "In order to form a militia"(in other words to be CERTIAN the government can't "run over you; us"....now ask yourself why it's a problem for Americans to be able to own guns and what purpose a "waiting period" accomplishes.....(and BTW ANY gun control law is ILLEGAL for that reason; so how do they get passed and remain??? Liberal judges who "interpet what is RIGHT..in their mind" NOT what the Document says!!)...Another reason to pick YOUR vote very carefully IMHO

IF anyone believes the gang members, drug runners and other criminals buy their guns legally then there is NO hope of them ever "getting it"!! It's a proven fact they do NOT do that!!!

Gun control laws DO NOT WORK never have, never will; that's why the argument for them is so "silly", and YES that IS EXACTLY what they said in England, (not to mention Australia, and Canada!) They CAN'T take our guns....(yet somehow they did...and in the few cases that they didn't (Canada) ALL sales of AMMO are recorded; and you have to pay a "TAX" and file every year (expensive) (and list EVERY GUN, AND HOW MUCH AMMO YOU HAVE..IF THEY CHECK AND YOU LIED YOU GO TO PRISON!!!) I happen to know a few Canadians who are doing this (and hate it very much I might add).....

It seems YOUR soloution is to simply become a criminal IF Kerry gets in(and you're willing to help him do it??)....wouldn't it be easier to NOT have to worry about that ????? Again it will be Kerry's judges that HE appoints that will do the "real damage" to your rights; not Kerry himself(even though it will still be his doing, and he knows this going in)...

As for NOT only looking at ONE issue; well, there ARE others, like NOT voting for a traitor,(could go on and on).... :D

BUT having said that; our RIGHT to keep and BEAR arms should be at the TOP of the list; it's what has kept us FREE since we became a NATION, and should remain at the very least in the "top 5" reasons to vote GW!!!

    And

Before you vote, watch Fahrenheit 9/11. It just might suprise you.

You are joking??? Base your vote on a movie??? You actually believe the premise of the movie and there was NO bias involved in making it???

And NO I haven't seen it(heard enough about it to know it's a huge waste of time and money however) IMHO anyway.

IF Kerry does get in; wonder what that movie will be like? Bet it won't be "purdy"????

    Remember this: the TRUTH is the ONLY thing that can NEVER be changed; FACTS are TRUTH and Mr. Kerry's record speaks volumes about what he is REALLY about; and it's NOT for sportsmen/women OR the middle class;

he's NEVER on the "same page" from one day to the next(well other than on gun control there he's Really consistant(not in a good way though). The good thing is: while we are still free, it's your choice to make; I hope the majority make the best choice and vote GW!!!

And NO I do NOT think GW is "perfect", but he's BY FAR the better choice, for HUNTERS, gun owners and our country's safety IMHO.

Is that more than one issue?

    YES it certianly is!!
