These were really good. But the recipe calls for 4 peppers, split in half. There is enough stuffing for a dozen peppers. I saved the mixture, and will do some more next week when Bubbles comes over. Very good though!

Nice suggestion drakeshooter. I had some puny ones from the garden and tried that recipe tonight without the sausage. I used flour/parmesan in place of what was supposed to be the crust, still a ton of filling left over. I ate every last one of what I made lol

Since some of our friends are wimps & can't take the "heat" of jalapenos, we made up a bunch of venison poppers this weekend using banana & sweet peppers. They're good but have no punch whatsoever - my husband says we can always add some Wild Turkey Habanero Sauce to ours to make up for it! lol!

  4. I went by same truck I got the pork belly burnt ends from last week and picked up wings and these Texas twinkies, jalapeños stuffed with chopped brisket and both cream and cheddar cheese, then wrapped in bacon and smoked. He got them a little done so instead of 5 I paid for he gave me 8 fat ones. Best ever.

  7. I love the smoky flavor and when the skins start to blister and get charred flavor. Man they were 8 huge poppers and I ate them all in an hour. My buddy and I ate 50 between us at a party one year plus many glasses of keg beer and without getting too specific let’s just say the next day’s evacuation was crazy rough.

Man you can put fresh eggs in an instant pot and peel them just as easy as any. I think it the 5-5-5 method they call it but we go 7-5-and don't use ice water just let the cool in cold water. I was in total shock when we tried it. It stems the eggs instead of boiling. They come out perfect and easy to peel everytime

That's good to know. Thanks for the tip!

  10. Some friends hooked me up with a sample of jalapeño jelly and wow it’s great stuff. I ate it spread on toast with a piece of sharp cheddar. Off the chain.

I got a jar from someone at work this year. She recommended putting it over cream cheese. It was awesome! Don't know that I'll ever eat it any other way again.
