Need 270wsm ammo for an upcoming elk hunt. My preference is for 150gr nosler partition, but other high quality hunting ammo would be considered. I have some ammo of other calibers that I could trade, including .308 or 5.56. +/- cash if needed

I own a 270wsm, that’s some ammo you don’t run across to often. That gun is the reason I bought a reloader haha

Would work fine on elk. Cup and core bullets have taken countless elk for decades. $4/shell is beyond ridiculous.

I need to start, but even reloading supplies are about impossible to find now. Unfortunately, i just wont have the time for load development/testing for this hunt, so factory ammo it is.

$4/shell is absolutely ludicrous.....but I have an elk tag to try to fill. From what I remember, fusion is actually a bonded round. I've taken a couple white tails with fusion, and they expanded really well. My concern (probably unwarranted) is that it would over expand and under penetrate in something as big as an elk. Absolutely could/should/has been effective.....but just leaves me with a touch of doubt. I am however, brand new to elk.

Call Superior Ammo and/or Hendershots. See if, and how long to receive loaded ammo. Ask if they're short on components and which ones. If they're short bullets, have some 140 accubonds and I think 150 gr ABLR if that would help you.

I am afraid this is one cartridge, alone with several others, that will won't be loaded, after this covid-19 thing passes. I imagine the ammunition manufactures will only concentrate on the more common and popular cartridges.

ky, week 1 bull. I'm a lucky bastard. I did find some 150gr partition bullets. I have brass and primers, but am still looking for a couple powder options to try. I'd still rather just pick up 200 rounds of factory ammo so I could spend my little bit of free time scouting and shooting. I'm not an experienced enough re-loader to feel like I'll get an appreciable advantage by September with handloads
