    Cool video Hoosier Sasquatch.
My son sent me a iPhone video he took of a bobcat catching a songbird back in November. It lunged several feet and got the bird before it could take off. Seeing that, I can see how a young turkey would be easy pickings for a bobcat.
Here’s a grainy screenshot from the video. If you use your imagination, you can tell it’s a bobcat with a bird in its mouth.

They are no doubt very efficient little killers, but I like them just the same and will never shoot one.
I don't see them being much of a factor in Turkey populations as their low numbers. Now if you throw in a million Coons.....

That’s awesome. Only seen two in my life and both were from the road while driving. Have never seen one in the wild and grew up in an area that was known to have a few. Also, my dad and brother have each saw bobcats in the last few years where we hunt. I’ve ran 3 cameras and another guy ran 1 this year and we’ve never had a pic.

I’ve seen bobcats on long trails same as short trails. I’ve even seen them get off a trail and walk. Saw one slipping through heavy brush once. No trail in sight.

Not at the time of this video. Just got really lucky. Full disclosure, It was mid/late rut, I was fat and tired and needed to put out the camera, and I thought, "I'll put this out on this rub line and see if I can catch what is coming over the hill." The path is between a stock pond and a dump, so it sort of funnels the deer. Since then I put out two eggs just to see what would happen, and something got them but my batteries were low. I also hung a chunk of ham out by a string where I figured only a cat could leap at it. Danged if there wasn't big kitty tracks in the snow all underneath it, but no pics! I'm still trying.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm trying to bait the kitty in, since I have seen pretty obvious tracks and I think he must be local. I'm clueless; would a fishy smelling grub like cat food be best, or something bloody? The cat would be lucky to beat any coons but maybe I could at least get him/her sniffing about.
