Looks like the remnants of Hurricane Isaac will be affecting our area. How will it affect the season opener? Will any deer be moving with pouring rain and wind?
According to my just checked trail cams... it's not going to make a whole lot of difference for me. What few I'm getting on camera, I'm getting 3 to 4 hours after daylight and 4 to 5 hours before dark. I must have the things set up near their bedding area... which must be across the fence on the other property.
Supposed to be very hot too! The forecast I just saw doesn't even have the low getting below 70 with highs in mid 80s.
This north east wind they're forecasting is my main concern. Completely takes my best set-ups out of the picture..
What part of KY? NKY showing a south wind for Sat, and a NW wind for Sunday. Where the hurricane ends up is going to make a big difference. BTW Boiler UP!
weather men cannot predict that far out lol. if it's windy they'll not be moving as much in my experience.
From the looks of it, we might get missed west... But our luck is that it will pour all weekend (biitter sweet forsure)
I know a local meateorologist. In talking with him at church this morning, the biggest thing he said with hurricanes is that they are THE most unpredictable weather pattern. So many variables and their intensity affects how strong the hurricane becomes, where it tracks, and how long it lasts once it makes landfall. Thats why there are so many forcasts and computer models that show it going anywhere from the MS river to the coast.
