Wife and I hit Sams Club today, so I grabbed batteries for the cams. Gonna get some up this week and see what survived the ice! I've had 6 hens multiple times this week when the ice started to go!
I pulled all my cams yesterday and my feeder on my farm. I’ll see what’s survived when season comes in I guess. Lol. I left 2 cams what I call trespassing cams. Leave them year round. But they catch the occasional turkey on it.
My numbers are down . I have half as many as last year. This is only a small portion of hens and only two of the gobblers I am seeing . I just can not catch the gobbler all at one time on camera. STC 0118 - YouTube STC 0107 - YouTube STC 0013 - YouTube
Seen a group in a field yesterday, about 15 hens and 5 strutters. Toms were pecking at each other. Got me even more ready for season
There is several . I have counted 5 in one video. I think they are really thick for bearded hens. Most of them I have seen are thinner and long.
I saw 3 hens during the rain today in my back yard. First turkeys I’ve seen at the new homestead. It really pumped me up.
