It should be a good day. Deer been bedded up not moving much since this windy rainy front has been going thru. I would think deer will be on there feet Sunday.

Well I hope they are moving. I'm skipping Sunday services today to do some hunting with a good friend if mine.

I can’t even get motivated. There is no spark left. I keep tellin self that it’s the rut anything can happen but that ain’t workin either. I think I’m gonna plan on gettin cams out tomar and taking inventory and start puttin together a game plan for a buck with a bow. Iv not seen a deer season this shitty in 20 yrs. good luck to you boys this morning. I’ll check in regularly to see how it’s going.

I'm set up for now. My back is hurting pretty bad and I can't seem to get comfortable but I'm here for now im watching a hillside and a small field where 2 hollers connect and hoping a big 1 comes through and gives me a shot. Good luck everyone

In a big oak tree in metcalfe over a brassica plot along a travel route between the creek bottom to my North and thick wooded swamp to my south. Been saving this set for a special rut day so decided to try it out. Good luck guys!

Sitting here at the house thinking I should already be out there. But. I'm going to enjoy my coffee and head out in a bit for a midday sit. Maybe changing things up will work because nothing else has this season. It's been tough. Good luck everyone !!!
I’m hoping today is the day. I’ve got my 2 best buddies with me today. 14 and 12 year old boys that think they are men!!!LOL. They have already worked out a game plan. I’m hoping it works in there favor. Either way I’m thankful for them and am proud of both of them. Both are straight A students and love the outdoors. Can’t ask for much more. Hope everyone is safe and enjoy your time in the woods.
My feelings as well Mainbeam. I'm in a stand again this morning but really only here to shuffle cameras later and see what's left. Hoping at some point the cooler weather and diminishing food sources will get the deer moving on my lease again. It's difficult and frustrating to hunt so hard for so many days in a row to see so few deer. There's no doubt in my mind that Menifee County or at least the area of Menifee County that I'm hunting should remain a zone 4. The deer density here is as bad as any place I've ever hunted. I haven't seen a doe on my lease since the week before rifle season came in.
With that said, if anyone has any lease opening spots coming available for 2018 season...Please PM me!

I’m sitting in a new stand this morning next to two fields overlooking the draw I’ve been hunting. Cams don’t look promising as I would hope. Everything is still moving at night and I had my shooter buck hanging out with a 6 point two nights ago but I’m here for the day to see what happens

My son and I are back at it today. Set up on a path the deer regularly travel. He missed a shot last Sunday, and still needs to score. We've seen deer on the way in, and heard two shots just after shooting light, so they are up and moving.
