You can make jerky in the oven pretty easily.
I think it’s about time to focus back this at my house. We were doing real good for two or three weeks then kind of burnt ourselves out. We still eat cheap but I started getting dirty looks from the lady when we would talk about dinner.
LOL, this thread cracks me up. We redone our kitchen and a couple other rooms in 18, I built a nice pantry and some barn doors, I told her a few pots and pans , on the top, the rest is canned foods. She is the worst for shoving things in a corner and buying things that are only used once or twice a year. The other day I went digging in the cabinet for a can of beans, I was amazed at what I took out just to find we were out of beans, I was pissed. Tomorrow she comes off her six day stretch at work and is off for eight......There will be some cleaning and re-organizing the pantry back to what it should be, then we move on to the freezers.
Let us know how this works out for you.
Ps remove all skillets an rolling pins from the house
She knows. She just has this problem of buying stuff when we have no place to put it or need for it. I bet I could make any form of cookie out there, there must be 50 different cookie forms in the pantry.
It's a Chromosome Defect.
Today’s freezer excavation revealed two large packs of ground turkey. It turned into some delicious meatloaf!
Man that's fine eating there beau
I heard my son talking to a friend once. The friend was griping about having to go to the grocery to pick up some chicken. The kid was like I don't have to worry about that around here. Mom will go to fix dinner and "Oh we're getting low on chicken, I need to go get another 80 lbs.!!!!"
SIGH... Trying to feed a family all those years on as little money as possible, it was simply cheaper to buy stuff like chicken & veggies & stuff by the case when it was on sale. Now that we're down to just 2 of us, it's a hard habit to break....
That looks awesome
We also find ourselves in the same position, but my mom is the worst. Didn't have alot growing up, but we always had a good meal. Mom cut every coupon she could find regardless, and would find a way to cook it so we would eat it. Still to this day, she will call me or one of my other siblings saying she has a bunch of coupons for whatever was in the inserts that day.
