This will be my first year doing it.My doctor said they do not have noise cancelling so whatever I do ...do not shoot with them turned on. Seems like a lot of stuff to be doing while turkey hunting!
She told me that if I used the muffs that experience feedback. She also emphasized that if I shoot the gun with them turned on that it could damage the hearing aids!I've shot a few with my non cancelling aids and I can't tell that they've damaged my hearing. I didn't have a choice I can't hear well enough to go without them. It's been 15 years since I started using them. Some noise cancelling muffs will function with aids, mine will but I don't use them.
I am almost totally deaf in my left ear ,but I can hear some in my right ear.The only thing I know to do is try and slip them out when they get close!!!My dad can’t hear them unless they are bad close anymore. He’s a great caller and most of the time he over calls bad because he et cdon’t know how close they are. He’s got skills though. If he can see it, he’ll figure out a way to kill it.
Those noise canceling ear muffs are pretty dang good. They amplify talk/gobbles and are not that big now. This will be my first year doing it.My doctor said they do not have noise cancelling so whatever I do ...do not shoot with them turned on. Seems like a lot of stuff to be doing while turkey hunting!
I bought the walkers ear muffs with hearing enhancement and noise cancelling, but didn't help at all with my left ear.Have you thought of a Walker's Game ear?
