Just curious how many of you actually kill a deer that you only have night pics of on camera, or a deer that you don't have on camera at all? I tend to get discouraged when I only have nocturnal pictures and needing a boost for tomorrow and the weekend. I've never saw a buck while hunting I didn't have on cam, or Killed a buck that I only had nocturnal pictures of.

It's the rut. Anything could come running by this weekend. Just be ready at all times

This time of year you will see bucks you've never had on camera.....they are on their feet and covering ground.

I've been chasing a 140" 8 pointer that just showed up two weeks ago and have yet to lay eyes on him. He's been at three of the four tree stands I have up! Most are nocturnal but I do have 4-5 daytime pics.

I have a buck I've had on cam for three years running. He's at least 6,5 years old. I have zero pictures of him in daylight. None. The closest to daylight he's ever showed up is 1.5 hours after sunset in the middle of the summer. I'm damn near positive he lives most of his life on a 3/4 mile long, brush covered island in the middle of the river. The island is owned by the neighbor, yes I've asked, and would only be hunt able on one end.

The river is shallow enough he can access it at dozens of places along its length, and probably never the same place twice. I honestly can't even figure out which side of the property he's coming in at.

I consider this buck damn near impossible to kill legally.

All of the bucks I have killed I have never laid eyes on before. Granted I haven't shot a buck since 2006 and I only started using trail cams this year. lol The beauty of the rut is that every buck young and old turns into teenage boys chasing some tail. They are bound to screw up sooner or later. This is a perfect example from nature no less that women will get you into trouble.

He's not huge rack wise, but given his age, if consider him the trophy of a lifetime.

My ghost walked right under me at dusk last week. He should be in the freezer but that moment I took to admire him was the only shot opportunity I had. Big Buck -1, Sorry excuse for a hunter - 0

I killed this one in 2009 also first year I used a camera. All I had on camera was a small 6 and a big 8. Killed him right before dark hunting over a rub line I had pics of the 8 using. Grunted and he grunted back so I done a snort wheeze and he charged out across the field and right into the tree line and stopped 10 yards out. Mainframe 14.
