My wife keeps about a dozen feeders around our deck, and fillls all of them twice a day. Cashiers at walmart think we are making whiskey.

I bought 25 pounds today at Sam’s myself.

I set out three feeders here at the cabin on the lake only three days ago and already have over ten and maybe twenty hot and heavy after them. New neighbor arrived yesterday from Illinois and has around 40 hummers back there. We both feel at home with all the action.

These beautiful trees front the cabins, and I noticed that one hummer visited, causing me to hang feeders and the hummers to begin visiting like gang busters.

There is a trumpet vine growing across the way, and all know that they love those, but this was quite a surprise to me. I got onto the property owner for lion's tailing his pretty crepe mytles, after he attempted to tell me that is how they are to be pruned. Stubborn man didn't know whom he happened to be dealing with, causing me to send him a link regarding the bad practice.

I spied three deer walking the tree line the other morning and was told that they visit the pond. Something was visiting at 2am, eyes bouncing off my cell phone flashlight for a moment and causing me to become a bit nervous (too small for deer it seemed).

The front last night moved a bunch out. We've still got a couple hanging out here though.

Wife filled feeders Wednesday. When they have drained them all we are pulling so they move on south. They all have big ole beer bellies on em!

They will stay until they’re ready to migrate whether you fill them or not, from what I’ve found it’s the lack of pollen that moves them on but I’m no hummingbird expert, just have a Google degree lol.

Mom’s thinned out for about 2 days then back to 20-30 last two days. They’re draining her two feeders daily again.

Birds are migrating through from up north and are stopping at feeders as they head on south.

My hummers left last night. I had 8-10 all over my feeders yesterday. I’ve not seen a one today.
