Is there any tip or rule to get a rough estimate on how big a buck in velvet has to grow. For instance I've noticed when the g2 has a knot at the end it usually gets longer but didn't know if any of you guys had ways you could tell or if that self made rule even holds water. Here's the guy I'm talking about, any idea how big he has to go? I mean I feel he is on pace to be very very nice but wasn't sure if he was about done or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No general rule. He has plenty of growing to do. May get another point on that main beam. His brows may be all they are going to be. We had one last year that was about like that one and started growing points everywhere. If the deer had t had a white leg I would have sworn it was a different deer.
Only rule I've found to hold true is to wait 4 months and see what he looks like then. That's a good looking buck though and obviously has plenty of growth left. Looks young too. Appears to be some good genes in that guy.
Your probably right ky helm. I've ate tag soup for 3 years, hoping I could have a big one and who knows maybe it actually worked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
