I know I sound like a broken record but I just don’t think there are that many “upsets” anymore. The so called mid Majors, Cinderellas, etc…are good. Yes big names are still winning it, but they are set up to win. And like I’ve said before the mentality of a HS kid is very different these days. Kids will literally pass up a chance to play for a blue blood if he thinks he’s gonna sit the bench. Now, add that to the transfer portal and you’re really leveling the playing field. I remember setting up and watching Richmond upset Syracuse in 91 and it seemed like so much more of a bigger deal than these upsets. That was literally like David - Goliath. Nowadays, just so much parity.

Yes but man, sure is hard to win when your opponent shoots 21 more FTs smh. Ridiculous discrepancy for an NCAA Tournament game, Drake won every statistical category but FT defense lol. DeVries is much better than he showed tonight, I saw him up close and personal this year. He didn’t miss much.

Easily my worst year for picks. I only pulled like 18 in round 1 and I’m usually in the 24-28 range. I always pick a few good upsets, just the ones I picked this time didn’t happen. The madness is definitely here!

BTW I had Drake picked to win two rounds. Oh well.
