How about an NCAA tournament post?

I may win the 40 player bracket my family put together. We have a lot of knowledgable BB fans in the family. Many played at higher levels. Get this : I had UCONN as a final four team and I was the only person in all of the brackets to EVEN GET ONE CORRECT team in the final four. This is not a brag but a statement of how screwed up college BB is right now with the NIL money.

If a A school wants athletic supremacy in a sport the cheapest place to spend the NIL money is in a five man sport. SMH

In all honesty most full scholarship athletes at big universities that were from the not well to do families were “getting paid” anyways. It just wasn’t NIL type money. But most were getting 1500-3000 before NIL, monthly.

The going rate for a top-100 PG has been $5K to $20K for awhile now. Everybody in the recruiting game knew it, it’s just legal now.

You can't get there from here.

Somewhat true but looking at how level the field is now it looks like the gloves are off and all of the donors are getting into the fray.
We may be looking at a free-for-all for the next few tournaments.

Be interesting to see how the big football teams end up next year after the NIL gets it's feet under it? Could we have a midmajor team in the playoffs?

Have to give UCONN some credit, they are really the only team that has dominated the tournament. I was hoping for the all South Florida final but got the opposite. Would love to see SDSU pull it off now.

I was hoping that Uconn would not make it to the final.
Me too. Predicted the buzzer beater to my wife with about 2 minutes to go. She was pulling for FAU. I do think that the big boys will figure out how to tip the playing field back in the favor. Just give them so time.

I hope not, love it when NCAA basketball is balanced and competitive. I’m a WKU hater lol, goes way back to when they were in the OVC and fierce rivals with Murray, but man what a shot in the arm financially for them and CUSA with FAU’s run. Ironically FAU won’t see a dime of it with the move to the AAC, goes straight to CUSA to dole out starting next year.

I was pulling for them and that was a painful way to lose. That ball left his hands with less than a half of second on the clock.
