Holly tree

The Christmas freeze absolutely fried my Holly tree. It's about 25 years old. All leaves on the exterior are brown and dead. I do see a few green leaves on the interior. Will it come back?

My vote is yes. Most of my boxwoods are brown as well, but I expect them to come back. Guess we'll know in a couple of months!

It will take time but yes it should come back. One of the two I have froze bad maybe 10 years ago and it came back and was as full as ever.

I don't think it got mine . I will check tomorrow. I brought it back from Daytona 28 years ago.

If it's a Natural Kentucky dug up Holly, it will be fine. I have some that don't look very good also.
I used to have some Blue Holly ornamental shrubbery but they died in the last Artic Freeze.

I didnt think you could kill a holly tree. Im thinking it will be fine.

I tried to kill a foster Holly in the fall by cutting it low and applying root killer. The damn thing has a 2' sprout coming out of the stump.
