Guarding my lovely bluebirds
This arctic blast finally enticed waterfowl onto my own pond. I don't have any clue what they may happen to be, other than ducks. They are simply floating around out there.

I, unfortunately, chased off many of my preferred geese from the teepee pond at dusk yesterday, taking the risk in order to set out more desirable feed for them, cored/chopped apples, blueberries, cracked corn, not long before the bad weather began.

They departed in two sets, the larger one first and yet another small group directly behind them. Too dark and fast for a count, but looks to have been many...

Interestingly enough, at least two remained and most likely the very same two having hung out with me the other day. I could hear them over there, while briefly outside a moment ago. I am guessing others have since returned. I shall try to hike over there upon this ice fairly soon, if I can get my car trunk open for additional feed...

EDIT: Whatever ducks those two were, they were all white below from neck to tail feather (one was, at least, with what seemed to be a dull green tint elsewhere).

we had a good final 4 days. totaling 13 birds. I have been thru most brands of waders and would do good to get a year out of them. last winter bought some sitkas and this makes a year and a half with no leaks yet. my brother has had his for 4 years and sprung a leak right at the end of the year this year. with the lifetime warranty though they should eventually pay for themselves over a pair of $300 waders every year.

Have they honored the guarantee?

I’m in the market for new waders. What brands y’all recommend? I’m down to spend the bucks for something that will LAST.
Sitka or Chene's.
I like Sitka's boot but Chene makes a great wader too. Their return process is faster than Sitka right now. Will that change in the long run? Idk. I just got thru my 4th year with Sitka's. I bought them used and the guy that had them before abused the hell out of them. I had to send mine back in January because the left boot started leaking. I still haven't gotten them back. A guy I know has Chene's and had a leaking knee. He sent them to Memphis and had them back in less than 10 days. Can't beat that.
