Bill was 50k. I would strongly suggest getting with your insurance provider and figuring out air ambulance coverage amounts. Fortunately we were covered well with my wife’s insurance but i have heard horror stories about getting stuck with the remainder of a huge bill. There are cheap supplemental policies that may be worth researching. 8AAD4C3B-10B4-4C40-A146-6A525F5D9C5C.jpeg

If some emergency person call in the chopper they have incurred the bill for you /your responsibility whether you wanted it or no and whether you were conscious or not.

He had thousands of dollars. Was really upset. Dad is the type he would do without food and medicine to pay his bills. I talked him into calling them to work out a payment plan he could afford and they had some type of program. I’d say it was a government loan or something. They probably took a discounted payment from fed gov and waived my dads fee. I believe it may have had something to do with him being a Vietnam vet also been several years ago now.
