I use a lone wolf assault and 4 sticks 90% of the time. Very good quality and it suits my needs well.

I doubt I'd change anything except maybe look at the hawk or Infalt sticks. Their double steps would be nice but I've still been pleased with the LW.

I just use a climber anytime I go into a new area.

Ive got a climber and used it for years .they just sort of handcuff you to a certain type tree and your almost always in the wide open i want to ve able to get above a limb or inside the fork of a tree to stay hidden.

True I have walked in to a good looking area many times and couldn't find a climbable tree.. as far as a loc on I have a set of 20' sticks bungied together and a basic guide gear loc on I can set it up in about 20 min or less.

I ditched the lone wolf sticks for the hawk wish I’d done it sooner. I love them and they are pretty cheap.

How do you pack them on the stand and how quiet do they carry?

The LW sticks pack silently on the stand and I don't want to give that up.

I’m packing four and I pair them and zigzag a bungee across them. They will pack stacked like lone wolfs but the way I’m doing them the weight distribution is better IMO .The only noise I’ve noticed is the hook or the cam makes a little noise if I don’t tighten the strap tight enough. I do the straps just like I would my lone wolf sticks. If I stealth strip or change to the versa button and rope all would be taken care of. Dans sticks look awesome but at 70 bucks a pop is to steep for me plus I’m short legged.

I love my lone wolf I have the Alpha. Some times on a long walk I wander how the assault would be versus alpha.

Just purchased a Hawk Helium loc on and the helium sticks. Have not tried them yet but am in the process of trying to silence the stand and sticks. It looks and feels good!

Most of my walks in are short enough that the weight savings of the assault isn't a big deal. I do favor the smaller profile on my back and for hanging in tight spots.

I have to ask because I don’t have a hang on. Are you guys scouting out a good spot and leaving them up or moving around often? I helped a buddy hang his set and he seems to hang for the season. I got ladder stands but have a couple spots I really need to do some hang ons. Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, I’m just more of a multiple site leave it all season guy unless I take my climber.

I set up and tear down unless I want to hunt the same spot in the morning. I usually don’t hunt the same spot more than once if I do it’s weeks later. When a little locusts is all you got or the best stand location is a crooked tree hang and hunt is the only way to go. If I hunt big timber with a rifle I’ll take my climber. I can hang sticks and a stand just as fast as I can get up a tree inmy climber. The climber is way more comfortable.

I do hang stands that I leave for the season but the OP was asking about a mobile style lock on that you would hang and then pull for each hunt.

It may sound crazy to some guys but it's easier and more stealthy than you might think.
