I'm wanting to take my boys on a guided waterfowl hunt in Arkansas as a Christmas present to them. Would love to get them on a timber hunt but a rice field isn't out of the question. Any suggestions on outfitters would be great. Thanks

Not sure if you’re dead set on Arkansas but if not you might look elsewhere. Arkansas game and fish has made it very clear that they don’t care about out of state hunters and the locals for the most part don’t want you there and make it very obvious. With the changes in the nonres laws on WMAs this year every hillbilly with 2 acres is going to be a “guide” this year so if your dead set on Arkansas then make sure you go with a guide that’s been around a long time.

Guides down there are a dime a dozen. Prices vary from $250 per day to $900 per day. There are horror stories about people going to hunt with "guides" in Arkansas. I would suggest reviews from FB or googling the outfitters name.

Going rate for a decent arkie timber guide is roughly 500 per person per day.

I've hunted with Snow Pros in Pocahontas. He seems like a good guy and really knows his speck hunting. Ducks are just iffy. I think he's mostly field hunting though.

Hell Kentucky is becoming a destination duck hunt!! Looking around I saw lots of Tn plates along with Indiana and Mississippi plates !

Every time some jack leg mentions hunter participation and lack of recruitment I want to kick him square in the nuts then right in the mouth hoping I stepped in dog poopy just before!!
