A few KGHA members got out this weekend for a club youth trail and took advantage with a little dog work. This is my 4 yr. old female that didn't get much work this winter due to a broken tail. I was pleased with the way she handled along with her retrieving.

This past weekend GSP and I got a chance to work our pups, we lost two out of three, but their back in the kennel and looking good. Before the search began, all three pups done well. I feel sure they will come along and make grouse getters.

Is anyone still working dogs? I've been doing some bench work and whistle breaking early and late. Sat a bird yesterday for a friends dog she done a good job even with the temp. in the low 80's. Sat one for the pup late yesterday evening she's coming along, should be ready for the trip north this fall.

From the weather report this morning, it's time to work your dogs, at least for the next few days. I worked two this morning both done well but the sweat was running off my @@@. I hope to try it again tomorrow.

Up the holler
I have been runnin my some after work here the last 2 weeks if I'm not workin late or workin on the house up the road. This cool weather today has flipped a switch in me. All I have thought about today has been the Northwoods.
