Is that yours Chris? If so, congrats. That’s a big bear. Folks around here complain of issues with black bears and rightfully so. But apparently where this incident occurred, there’s an unusually large population of grizzlies. Seems a man was killed there a while back after he’d killed an elk was butchering it.

No my buddy’s when we were there in September for Moose/Griz hunt. I wasn’t able to shoot one because you can’t kill a Grizzly and a Brown Bear is same registration year in Alaska. I held out for my Brown Bear this past May instead! And yeah, those Griz are just mean man. Much more apt to attack and charge than a larger Brown Bear too.

I love how the “authorities” quickly explain that these instances will likely increase as more people venture into “bear habitat.” Why is that not rightfully “human habitat?” As someone on here recently stated….our forefathers had a mandatory shoot on sight agreement for a reason. Our society has lost our way.

Id take a significant amount of pleasure in trapping and relocating said bears into said authorities back yards. I could do that sort of work 15 hours a day 7 days a week on very little pay and be the happiest guy on the planet.

Yeah it’s time to start hunting a few Grizzlies in states like MT and WY. A small allotment of tags would do some good for overall conversation as well.

No, just hunting seasons to control the populations.

The Lady, 65 years young, was camping in the parking lot in town. The bear was out dumpster diving. They dump Jellystone problem bears off in the BOB.

I think I heard the Wildlife Gestapo killed him last night using Night Vision on a set up near the Chicken Coop that he had hit a day or so ago.

Which would be worst, grizzy attack, or shark attack? I cringe at the thought of either.

In my brain it doesn’t really matter….but i think id ignorantly prefer the bear attack.

Both are terrifying. I prefer t-rex as it would be faster. Seems like most large predators will chew on you for 20 min before actually killing you
