Did some day hunting this morning before the ice hit and called in 2 killed a Hugh male, my dog weights 70 lbs and this old boy wasn't much smaller! Shot the one with him and tracked it for a couple hundred yards the the sleet started and I had to get out of there while I still could.
That sounds like an interesting round. What is actual chambering? Is it a reload only caliber or is there ammo available for it?
You sure that's not a WOLF??!! Congratulations ... I'll bet that made a bunch of birds and assorted animals mighty happy in your part of the country.
He came in wanting a fight! Female challenges sealed the deal and save alot of game! I need to get a small scale to carry, would of loved to of had it's weight.
70 lbs! the coyotes head was about double his size, and he was a bit longer, my dog had him by at least 10 lbs being thicker and deep chested! We killed one in Bracken co 20 yrs ago that weighted 56 lbs this one beat him by a good amount I would guess him at 60-62 lbs but he came from a area that has plenty to eat yr around.
Man, you gotta go back and weigh that one. I bought some little portable digital scales off internet and they are great. That Coyote is Huge.
I'm sure it way to late! Right after the shot the black buzzards started flying over head, when I got about 100 yrds away and looked back they had already landed around it. Dang things are think around there!
