I got 2750 pounds of corn today for $204 with tax. I asked for 25-30 bushels, but the operator didn't catch that. He filled the bed of my truck. This is at Auburn, next to to Shaker Village. $3.95 a unit (bushel). I only had 50 bags, so Professor and I filled them pretty full. It made 46 bags, roughly 60 pounds a bag. I filled 16 bags before Professor got here, then it took the two of us over an hour to bag/tie/stack them in garage. Great deal if you have a gravity wagon. The price had actually gone up about 40 cents in a month.

LOL. I asked for 25-30 bushels. Got 55. She told me I could get in line and they could suck some out. There were 16 semis in line to offload corn. I wasn't going to wait an hour. If we kill and have corn left, I'll sell it.

Yeah, the light went on when I bought this. I have a friend with a huge grain operation.... I'll keep saving bags, and buy corn from him by the truck load going forward.... I'm sure he will sell it to me cheaper than I can buy. Don't know why I hadn't thought of this before. I'm kinda slow sometimes.

Yea I hate it every year waiting for them to cut corn and buying it by the bag for double the price, but I do need new bags now and then

So, $204 for 2750 lbs, that’s $3.71 per 50lb with the cob and everything still attached or off the cob?

Be sure to tell them if you want less than a truck load. lol. BTW, it's pretty dirty. It wouldn't work in spinner feeders very well. It's straight out of the field.

Yeah, I would have to use a trailer. My truck has a topper and bed rug. It’s my camper during hunting trips.
