Well, I lucked out and had this one walk in on me this afternoon in the Daniel Boone National Forest. It was in a spot where 2 ridges come together and make an X. I had been in that spot twice before and thought it looked great, but it's also one of those spots that not many people want to walk to...including myself, which is why is only been there twice. Anyway, I sat there for a couple hours, saw nothing, and eventually decided at 4:00 to hunt back to the truck. So, stood up, stretched out, and happen to see this deer walking toward me...like right at me, with the wind blowing directly toward it. 30 seconds later, I shot it at 20 yards. Proud to get a nice DBNF buck from way back in the woods.
