I put my covert black ops camera out Saturday. I didn't have a key for the cable, so I put it out with out locking it. I've had it and 2 or 3 other cameras in this woods for several years now. Anyway, I got a few pics Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. No pics since Wednesday morning at 5:00 AM. I sure hope it hasn't been taken... That would really suck.

You got one of those super nice ones that send the photos to your phone?

Send the command to give you GPS coordinates. I forget the command but that should tell you if it's moved.

Don't those guys have a low-jack positioning ability? Don't they have security codes that would prevent anyone else from using them? Call covert and see what they say. They can probably walk you through it. Our ran out of batteries last week and we have yet to replace them.

The newer cameras don't have that ability. No pics last night either.

Batteries were at 80% on last pic. Yes, if someone takes it, it would be useless to them. It is password protected and the SN is registered.

Well, that was a relief. Camera was still there. It just quit working for some reason. It didn't take any pictures after June 1, the last pic I got. It also didn't take my pic when I walked up. I reset it, and it took my pic and sent it. Not sure what happened. It has not sent pics in the past a time or too, but it has never just stopped working before. Anyway, thrilled it was still there.

Yep. 4 people I know all called or emailed me. All said batteries were new and all stopped last week on Mon or Tues
    1 had 46 pics, another 7.
    Firmware maybe?

Makes you wonder what it was in the firmware (coding wise) that stopped it from working.

Just thinking out loud, I wonder if the amount of time the camera was on, caused the malfunction. It's kinda strange that a date would trigger the issue, but if the camera had been on for X amount of days it could had caused the camera to malfunction. The firmware kinda freaked out once it hit 60 days or something.

Again it's strange that more than one person experienced the issue around the same time.
