I think opening the reserve is a poor, even short-term, option since those are basically for war-time and/or catastrophic options.
I believe that ensuring the options for our energy independence is the best way to alleviate this intentional economic strain. We already know the currents admin won't do that since they want us cut-down at the knees!

After reading some facebook comments on political posts and comments from a few here, I can see the writing on the wall. We are doomed in the future as a functioning society. I like to take the blinders off and try to see both sides of the fence, but the left side is so far off base it's not even close to being reasonable.
