I remember driving home from Ft. Riley Kansas the day of the 911 attacks. I watched it on TV at the base hospital and you could have heard a pin drop. My son who I had taken for PT from knee injury/surgery, heard a code on the intercom. He said y'all get gone right now, they are locking down the base. 15 minutes later they were dragging concrete barriers across the gates. And Bradley fighting vehicles were sitting there armed up. Gas was $7.00 a gallon in Missouri on the way home. Anything can happen. I'm glad I live next door to @barney who has plenty of food laid by.
