Man, has anybody checked out the fur sale this week at NAFA? I just looked at mine, best ever I averaged $24 on mink, $12.75 on muskrats, $12.50 on beaver. They sold about half my coon for around $9 and I sold afew otter over $80. I only got to trap one week, didn't have any coyotes or foxes. I'm pleased with the sale though!
I had 37 coyote at this sale they all sold for a 30.77 average this is the best I have ever Done. To say I was pleased is an understatement.
Don't worry, I'll be trapping again this year so the prices will be lower. When I farmed, it would be a drought. When I trap, the market takes a downturn. LOL! Congrats on your fur, those are some amazing totals.
Hope the coyote prices hold this fall/winter!!! Looks like "steven s " and I will be headed to Kansas January 1 along with "mattboral" to lay steel for the yotes and cats!!!
I'm hoping Coyote prices hold next year too. Can't believe how good they did at this last NAFA sale.Good luck on your Kansas trip.Great to hear from you.
I've got more than that to trap in MS. Just let me know when you guys want to stack up the grays and cats.
All private ground TP.... Matt and a buddy of his have a hook up out there... Got a place to stay for cheap for the week, heated skinning room, etc...
All are welcome and February would be the best for me. I'm busy with work in January and the gun deer season goes out on Jan. 31st, so more properties are available then. I need to get back with him, but I had a call about trapping one property that is 4000 acres and has miles of gravel roads. That would be good for group trapping!
Dang I guess prices have went up a little, might have to get dads ol trap basket and steel all lined out for this year =)
