The legislature is the state legislature. It is not counties, cities, municipalities or other local governments. No attorney would ever think or argue that the term “legislature” applies to cities. Imo, by the precise and plain language employed, local governments would be preempted from regulating hunting.

Its up to KDFWR to adopt regulations governing hunting in highly populated areas.

Agreed. Got a feeling that it was a gun shot victim

Either that or somebody driving by, saw it, shot it with a bow or xbow, and planned to try to pick it up later.

Here's my take, based on absolutely nothing............a hunter had legal access to a small property and hunted. He shot the deer and tracked it, or lost the track, and it went somewhere he didn't have access to. Then it was found by the landowner where it died. I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt :) !!

I know nothing about this city/ town hunting just picked up on this thread that was awesome deer I'd love to see walk out on me .
There used to be a bounty on yotes around here that stopped because of road shooting KDFW said they'd never do it again 1. People shooting from anywhere and everywhere 2. They didn't take in consideration that trappers could do so well in one day, if it was good fur you got bounty plus pelt missing a ear or tail

So it turns out this deer was poached by a guy from Frankfort. He came up and shot it with a crossbow, then finally did retrieve it and put it in his truck. He posted it on his facebook page as having been shot in Frankfort - tried to check it in in that county.

What made it poaching? Lack of landowner permission? Any idea what city it was shot in?
