2005 Jeep Liberty
150K +/- miles
4WD, gas 3.7L engine
This was my daily driver but wound up with a coolant leak somewhere around the water pump and it couldn't go 2 blocks without overheating. Before addressing the leak, we found a more family friendly vehicle and this has been essentially abandoned.
I intended to fix this but never got to it and now it's time to get it out of the way. I replaced the cooling fan and thermostat which were the first to go. Perhaps it could make a great farm vehicle or spare car for off roads/winter use given the working 4wd and trailer hitch. The outside is also in decent condition and the brakes were replaced around 2019.
The bad
It's nearly 20 years old
I parked it in 2020 and haven't touched it since.
Battery is dead and there's a slow electrical drain somewhere back when I was driving it.
I bypassed the heater core (aka no cabin heat because fumes and 'smoke')
Front passenger tire is rotted and holds air for a day. The others aren't much better, the spare is the best in the bunch.
The price
Given the fluctuation of the car market, I'd like to start at $1,000,000 OBO.
I would consider a new or slightly used Ferrari as a trade only if you're able to also bring cash to the table to match the difference.
The wife is calling up junk yards and is getting offers between $500 and $1,000. I'd prefer this go to a better home.
