Fresh Chicken of the woods!

Picked 5 1/2 lbs of really fresh chickens this evening that my wife saw growing on a log in front of our house. 2nd time it has produced in the past 3 years.

Not sure. It has been dead for years. I believe it might have been a giant ash tree.

Sautéed usually using butter or olive oil. I sometimes add some soy sauce also. Very similar to sautéed chicken breast. Just be careful consuming alcohol when eating for the 1st time because some people will suffer an upset stomach.
