Pretty sure our pear trees are gonna get zapped. Buds are big & huge on them with a few starting to open. (I can't get too upset though - we've got over 200 quarts in the pantry from the past couple of years & last year, we gave away more than we canned... It won't hurt us to take a break for a year!!!)
I had some landscaping bushes that lost all their leaves from the freeze around Christmas. First time that has happened and they were there when I bought the house in 05. Stalks/limbs of the bushes are green but not a leaf to be found. Alive? Who knows?
I am just hoping the Hickory, Oaks, and other mast bearing trees aren't damaged. I don't think they are out far enough to sustain any damage, that would result in a low mast crop.
