    I just noticed that lol. I kind of blew his shoulder out with the muzzleloader and his leg is tucked under him. Sad thing is we dragged him out and had to toss him in the bin at hunt control. Nastiest infections I had ever seen. Biologist agreed with chunking him.

    That sucks about the meat... what were his other wounds? (Good you put him down though he was probably in pain.)

    There are definately some nice buck at Ft. Knox. I may have to apply next year.

    Yes I got to keep the rack and could have kept the whole deer if I wanted but it was nasty. Its neck was infected right at the throat patch and looked like jelly. It had a huge abscess on its rear leg that was the main site of infection. He appeared fine until I put one through the lungs. Didn't notice anything really wrong. He appeared to run fine as he was coming in.
