I decided to get as close as I could to the birds I have been hearing gobbling all week. I quickly found out two things: 1) I forgot my calls! They were in my jacket and it was too warm to wear it this morning 2) The birds were on the next property over I finally fumbled around and found a mouth call, but I don't usually use them. I put the call in my mouth and stared yelping and after about 2 sets of yelps I got a response gobble. After about 20 minutes of listening to them getting closer I finally spotted them. They were two bachelors looking for love. It was amazing to watch them move seamlessly through the woods, strutting as they came along. One of the toms saw something he didn't like, and started putting, so I decided to take the shot. He looks like a healthy 2 year old: 19 lbs 10" beard 1" spurs
