We had an awesome trip. 4 of us fished Sat morning, I had to quit early due to the leg.... 3 fished Saturday PM, Sunday morning, and about an hour Sunday PM before storms moved in... We caught 46 fish, with an easy 4+ lb average, probably near 4.5. I caught 5 over 5, 2 over 6 with the 8.25. Donnie had two over 7, a 6 and 3-4 5+. Daddy had 2 5+, and the 7.35. Brian had the 6.17, his PB. He's not fished much. We just quit weighing and taking pics of 5's and 6's.... The fish were crazy shallow. 80% of bites were right on the bank. 1/8 oz sinker... Throw in, pick up, and she's swimming off with it. They took off like crazy, sometimes straight out to the boat. Had to really take up a lot of line before setting the hook. That was the reason for lost fish.... Just not taking up enough slack before hitting them. Daddy lost one last night before the storm that had to be a giant... Just didn't take up enough line before setting the hook. It came to the boat, then turned left and dug..... Pulled the boat around like a toy. Stripped about 6-8' of line and pulled off. It was a tank. I lost two the same way. When he got the 7.35, he took up line and set the hook, nothing. He thought he'd dropped it. Starting reeling up and I saw the line cutting the water. I said, "reel up the slack and hit him!" He did, and the war was on. Fish swam down the boat and jumped completely out of the water behind the boat. Daddy turned and looked at me, and his eyes were the size of golf balls... lol. It was awesome. Turned and came back around, and came out of the water again. Daddy said, "It's a 10!" It sure looked like, I was thinking 9.... Would have been over 8 if not laid out. Pop was worn out when we got home today, but he said he was so glad he went... Hope we get to go again.

Ive got a buddy that leases 2000acres in georgia that a logging company owns. He owns about 500 acres adjoining with a 50 acre water shed. When I was little we caught an 8 on a jug with a gold fish and made it in the courier journal. I’m gonna try to make a trip down there this summer

Came home through Montgomery instead of Atlanta. 8:15. I’m not doing Atlanta again. Leg is fine.
