Wouldnt count on it. Powerful groups;
ranchers, cattlemens association, etc, with high paid lobbyist will fight this hard. On the other hand, the checkerboard private/public land with land locked public land is not right. IMO. Some ranchers charge you a tresspass fee to cross their property to access public land.

Seems pretty cut and dry. The ranchers/landowners have no leg to stand on legally. The fact that those guys were charged in the first place is laughable.

Just a weird deal all the way around. I don't believe land should be inaccessible. But I think easements should have been made years and years ago. It's not fair for a property owner to all of a sudden have to provide an easement.
I not only don't understand why land doesn't have an easement, I also don't understand why the fed gov would buy land with no easement.

I think it's total BS. Those greedy landowners have been making lots of money off the land that we pay for with our tax dollars for many years. They graze their cattle on it and charge people to hunt on public land because they control the access. That 7-million-dollar lawsuit is just a big scare tactic to deter anyone from challenging the landowners. Correcting this wrong is way past due.
