finished the addition today

    google backyard chickens and read about the importance of vents, winter being more important than summer do to moisture causing frost bite on combs. and flat roosts like you have is the preferred choice. thanks

    They will use either one , the reason I went with flat was because chickens rest/roost covering their feet and especially in the winter its important to keep feet from getting frost bite.. even though that's probably rare here in KY.

    Added two big 24"x24" vents for the summer , will cover in the winter.
